The Jesus Centre Family Church History

The first branch of Jesus Centre was started in October 1994 after a tent miracle crusade that was conducted by the crusade arm of Greater Love Ministries. Apostle Goroh was holding a weeklong crusade at a shanty township of Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. Three days into the crusade, the Lord spoke to him to start a church for this remote area. He obeyed God and announced to the crusade crowd that they were starting their first church service on Sunday. Little did he know that what started, as a child’s play would one day become a church that God would one day use to touch the entire nation.Today the Jesus Centre has built a worship auditorium, a children’s feeding Centre and a school. From a little Church at a squatters’ camp, Jesus Centre now has branches all over Namibia, Angola and other nations.

Our mandate as a church
Is to:
Reach the people with the message of love, hope, and restoration through winning the lost and empowering the saved.
To the lost: We become all things to all men that we may by all means reach them with the message of salvation.
Winning them through the practical expression of Gods love, presenting the gospel in a language and style that is none threatening
To the saved:
We help them mature in their knowledge of Christ Jesus
We help them to discover their rights, place and heritage in Christ
We empower them with the knowledge of their abilities and potential and help them fulfill their life’s purpose.

Jesus centre branches

The Greater Love Ministries has the vision of planting churches in Africa and the rest of the world, with the vision of empowering indigenes of different nations to adequately reach their own people. The Greater Love School of ministry was established to help train church planters, evangelists, full time and part time church workers. Many of the pastors that pastor the different branches have been trained by Greater Love School of ministry. Today the Jesus Centre has branches all over Namibia, Angola and other nations.
